Our facility on Pine Street has a food pantry designed to help families in crisis, up to three times a year per family. “Baskets” contain staples, such as canned fruit, beans, vegetables, soups, tuna, spaghetti, cereal, peanut butter and jelly. Most of these items are obtained through food drives sponsored by area schools, Boy Scouts, and US Postal workers, and donations from the community at large. We purchase food, through donated funds, from Ozarks Food Harvest (part of Feeding America) at a discounted rate. We also receive fresh food donations from area supermarkets. In our baskets, we also try to include cheese, eggs, meat, bread, shampoo, dental hygiene products, toilet paper and soap.
